1-Patient’s Rights:

  • The patient has the right to be provided with the medical services available in PhysioTrio.
  • Maintain the respect and dignity of patients at all times.
  • Provision of a safe environment in medical facilities to patients and their families in order to assure their safety.
  • Maintaining patients’ confidentiality and privacy by:
  • Refraining from asking them to talk to any individual including visitors except those involved in the provision of healthcare.
  • The patient has the right to refuse to talk or meet anyone who is not officially and directly involved in his healthcare procedures including visitors.
  • Only direct healthcare workers have access to patients’ files and details of their health condition.
  • Medical assessment and examination are to be conducted confidentially in designated areas for these purposes.
  • The patient will be transferred to another room in case of discomfort from other patients/visitors, in accordance with the medical facility procedures and the availability of unoccupied rooms.
  • Patients will be introduced to their treating physician and medical staff who provide their healthcare.
  • Provision of proper means to patients to contact their families. Also providing an interpreter for patients to assist with non-Arabic speaking medical staff.
  • The patient and his family are entitled to have a complete explanation of the medical procedures required for his treatment including any potential complications, which he might be liable to due to the treatment and in cases where communicating this information to the patient might affect his health, it will be relayed to his family where an informed consent will be obtained.
  • The patient and his family should be informed about their rights and responsibilities related to refusing or discontinuing treatment. When a patient refuses the care provided or chooses to discontinue treatment, he will receive an explanation of the consequences of his refusal and the expected outcomes from his decision.
  • The patient has the right to seek consultation of any specialist in the nature of his disease at any other medical facility as desired at his own expense.
  • The patient and his family will receive necessary education and directions for the medications.
  • Submission of complaints or comments by the patient or his family will not interfere with the treatment or care provided by the healthcare workers.

 

2-Patient’s Responsibilities:

  • Attendance on the date and not to delay your appointments and communicate to cancel the appointment in the event of any emergency circumstances prevent you from coming to the date before 24 hours.
  • Pay attention to your needs and personal needs during your stay in the center.
  • Preserving the property of the health establishment and the property of others.
  • Safe and proper use of facilities and equipment in the health facility
  • Follow the regulations and guidelines, including:
  • Bring the identity of the patient.
  • Provide complete and accurate information about the patient’s personal, health and morbidity data.
  • Inform health service providers of previous patient surgeries and audits of other health facilities.
  • Report any change in the patient’s health status.
  • Inform the attending doctor of the lack of understanding of the treatment plan and planned interventions.
  • Provide complete and accurate information about the patient’s health insurance coverage and take responsibility for it.
  • Payment of the patient or his or her relatives the bills resulting from the treatment.
  • Follow the prescribed treatment plan, and in the case of refusal or failure to follow instructions, the patient or the legal guardian shall be responsible for this and the consequences thereof and complications.
  • Treat all employees, other patients and visitors with courtesy and respect.
  • Commitment to general rules and respect for the religious, intellectual and doctrinal beliefs of others.
  • Respect the privacy of others.
  • Follow the regulations and guidelines of the health facility.
  • Follow the safety and health regulations and instructions in the health facility.
  • Timing and contact on the appointments section if you cannot attend.
  • Obligation to implement the decision or to transfer to another place or exit as determined by the treating physician.
  • Commitment to non-smoking in all facilities of the health facility only in the space provided.
